Professional Societies
These professional organizations provide numerous training opportunities for academic advisors. Each professional organization offers annual conferences where new, experienced, and seasoned academic advisors can enhance their skills.
Diversity Certificate Program
The Employee Development Program offers a Diversity Certificate Program designed to develop and recognize commitment to the university's diversity initiative. The program consists of a combination of training and/or self-study, as well as community service, in each of the diversity values statement areas. Academic advisors are encouraged to complete the diversity certificate program. A portfolio template will be provided by the Academic Advising Chairs in the coming month. A list of upcoming campus trainings can be found at the Employee Development Website.
